The whole estate, and only your group on it

No shared pool, no strangers at breakfast, nobody else on the drive. Book the Guest House and twenty-five hectares of morainic hillside belong to you for the length of your stay.

What "exclusive" actually means here

Cavallina is not a hotel with a wing you can hire. It is a working organic farm with exactly one guest house on it — the Junior Suite and the Suite, eight guests between them. Book both and the estate is full.

From June to September we only ever let the whole house anyway. In those months the alternative does not exist: you are the only group here.

Between October and May you can also take the suites separately — or both, and have the same quiet at considerably less than high-summer rates.

What comes with it

All of it shared with nobody but your own group and the family who live on the farm.

25 hectares Cherry trees, olive groves, meadows and tracks. No neighbour in sight and no through traffic.
Private 15-metre pool Open roughly May to September, with loungers and a gazebo looking out over the estate.
Tennis court On the grounds, no booking and no fee.
Wood-fired oven and barbecue A real outdoor oven. Dinner in the garden is the normal way to eat here, not an occasion.
Kitchen in the pool house Fully equipped and shared by the whole group, for anyone who would rather cook than book a table.
Billiards and table tennis For the hours when it is too hot or too wet to be outside.
The farm animals Donkeys, geese, dogs and cats. They live here — not as an attraction, but because this is a farm.
Parking at the door Free and private, right by the guest house, with room for several cars.

Who this works for

Two kinds of group get the most out of taking the place whole.

Small team retreats

Six to eight colleagues, a few days out of the office, wi-fi throughout the house and nobody else at the pool in the evening. Midweek and outside high season the estate is often free — and a great deal cheaper.

Families and groups of friends

Two families, a significant birthday, a reunion that took years to arrange. Eight beds, two bathrooms, two floors, and a garden children can disappear into without anyone getting anxious.

What we are honestly not

So that nobody arrives expecting otherwise — and so you do not have to send an enquiry to find out:

We are not an event venue. We do not hire the estate out for gatherings of people who are not staying with us — no weddings, no company parties for forty, no day events.
Eight is the limit, not a guideline. There are no further beds.
We do not cater. A homemade breakfast with farm produce is available on request at €12 per person; beyond that you cook or you eat out. Our restaurant guide lists the places we go ourselves.
There is no air conditioning. The suites are heated; cooling is thick walls, shutters and the elevation. If you need 22°C in the bedroom in August, this is the wrong place.
We cannot take pets. Dogs, cats, donkeys and geese live loose on the farm.

Getting here

We are a few minutes from the A22 Affi–Lago di Garda exit — it is signposted, you will not have to hunt for it.

Munich: about 4.5 hours, roughly 415 km via the Brenner and the A22
Innsbruck: about 2.5 hours
The lake at Lazise and Bardolino: 10 minutes by car
Verona and the Arena: 25 minutes
Verona Villafranca airport: 30 minutes
Bergamo and Venice airports: about 1.5 hours each
